September’s cool breezes may be creeping in, but #DOGDAYS15 sweeps in just in time to provide the soundtrack to summer’s lingering days.

The project is the latest from Live Minds Affinity, a hip hop duo featuring producer Andy “BoonyBeats” Boonstra and emcee Jake “Dawscyclops” Dawson (both formerly of Purveyors of the Conscious Sound), in collaboration with emcee and R&B vocalist Ross Pennock out of Denver, Colorado.

“#DOGDAYS15 is a collection of music put together over the past year covering a number of different production styles,” explains Boonstra.

The group set out to deliver a carefree summer vibe without neglecting the high quality lyricism that is central to their sound.
